Greetings to everybody. Here is our
Mid-October newsletter. Please consider it a late October or
pre-November offering!
Leo’s crisis thoughts!: A shaman’s job in the old days included looking out for
the tribe/village’s welfare and resources. Nowadays that means keeping an eye
on the financial sector (which affects us all whether we like it or not) – the
‘Tao of the Dow’. The banking crisis that has been looming for some time is now
upon us and their profligacy and ‘artificial economics’ are going to cost us
all, from jobs to higher taxes. When any section of society loses its connection
with the earth, thinks it can defeat nature’s cycles or thinks it can make vast
personal wealth far beyond the value rendered, the result is always going to
be cataclysmic. Now we see a sudden crunch return to reality and more realistic
values. It is good to remember that the printed paper we call ‘money’ is not
actually related to anything material (except paper!) and is, at best, an idea
that we collectively choose to believe in. Hold onto your cash now as it is going
up in value but long term think gold. Gold is solid and has been considered a
store of value for thousands of years. Every paper currency in history has ended
up at zero.
Remember, it is only the outer world that is going through this spasm. Health
and happiness are created inside and it is within that our experience happens.
Keep yourself in-spirit no matter what is being thrown around outside!
We had a great Heyeokah play – improvisation - games weekend
and will offer it again next year at least once. Coming up now is the autumn
Womens’ Sweatlodge Weekend, the Gaunts House November Trance-Dance and most
importantly, our winter months Shamanic Practitioner Course starting on November
22/23rd. This course is suitable both for those who are looking to become practitioners
and for those who wish to learn more for the benefit of their own lives, to
be conscious practitioners of their own lives.

to respond to life. Your medicine is what you
‘give-away’ to the world and what you contribute to the
evolution of All-That-Is.

Shamanism is an ancient way of awareness, an
awareness of energy, of consciousness. It is a term used to
describe the practices of indigenous people from all over the
world who were and are the healers within their community i.e.
the Medicine People, the Witches, the Shamans. These people are
in tune with the Earth and know how to touch the soul in
everything in order to keep a healthy balance within each
individual and therefore within the community. For these people
there is no separation between daily life and Spirit, they know
that all things are connected and disconnection equals dis-ease.
Although our modern times seem very far removed from the
experience of indigenous people the needs and expression of the
human soul is still the same in its desire for connection -love,
community and creativity.

in the Andes and the Amazon rainforest, which is focussed on an
inner and deep self-exploration and encounter with the spiritual
power of the land. This is an adventure into the magical world
of the Andes, the Rainforest, and a transformative experience of
the ancient mystical rituals of the plant spirit medicines.
The Shipibo are one of the largest ethnic groups in the Peruvian
Amazon. These ethnic groups each have their own languages,
traditions and culture. The Shipibo which currently number about
20,000 are spread out in communities through the Pucallpa / Ucayali
river region. They are highly regarded in the Amazon as being
masters of Ayahuasca, and many aspiring shamans and Ayahuasqueros
from the region study with the Shipibo to learn their language,
chants, and plant medicine knowledge...................

heart of the Earth. It is a place where you can truly engage with
the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water, in prayer for yourself
and others. It is a place where you may receive purification,
wisdom, insight, understanding and healing. This Ceremony has been
practiced for thousands of years across many different lands. When
you enter into this Ceremony you do so not just for yourself, but
for all your relations.
The workshop will be held at a venue in the countryside near
London. Arrive on Friday evening to eat and circle together and
leave on Sunday afternoon. :
