Hi folks

Here is our first newsletter of 2009.

We have made a number of changes the first of which is we have re-branded ourselves and will now be known as:

Eagle's Wing College of Shamanic Medicine

This fits more with what we are offering, where our passion lies and where we are seeking to further our work and share with you our diversity of experience.

We have a new practitioner course - 'Cauldron of Changes' - starting in June. We are building up course modules which can be taken in any order and which constitute a major body of experiential learning of many facets of the shamanic path and which give a solid foundation for a shamanic healing practise. Next winter we will again be offering 'The Star Maiden's Circle Practitioner course' and next spring a further course to increase the body of work.

Some of this year's highlights include:

April 24 - 26th.Dawn and Lorraine have their SPRING AWAKENING WOMEN'S SWEAT LODGE weekend.

June 5th - 7th The Start of CAULDRON OF CHANGES a practitioner and personal development course.

Also in 2009 April 17-19th Leo is offering two workshops at the SOUL COMPANIONS WISDOM KEEPERS GATHERING.

May 1st - 5th Leo will be offering workshops at the WILD HEART GATHERING in Sussex.

Leo, Howard and Doug Blacksmith will be offering a workshop in ROMANIA June 25th - 30th.

July 25th- August 5th. Howard and Peter have a rainforest retreat in Peru with world famous painter Pablo Amaringo - THE AYAHUASCA VISIONS OF PABLO AMARINGO - A Visionary Art workshop and Ayahuasca Retreat in the Amazon Rainforest.

The 3rd Shamanic Practitioners Conference "DANCING WITH THE ANCESTORS" will be held on September 10th - 13th at Gaunts House. Leo and Doug will be offering 2 workshops - Trance-Dance and Healing with the drum.

Leo has been asked to start a mentoring programme (for folks who have done all our workshops!) Exploratory gathering is mid-March in East Sussex.

2009 is looking to be a year of great change, challenge and potential. We have a number of workshops which specifically address what is going on in the outer world (in relation to the inner, of course). All our work addresses what is going on in the inner world!

CAULDRON OF CHANGES - Practitioner and personal development course (New Course)

The primary theme of this course is learning to create and hold a space for healing for ourselves and for others. This involves making deep connection with yourself, nature and your guides in the non-physical realms, it involves being entirely trustworthy to your clients so they feel able to open up, unload and put their truths on the table. To do this we guide you through experiences of the place of trust and innocence, beyond mind and thinking, where one becomes a hollow bone through which healing energy comes.

In these potent times of change you are invited to take some time out with nature and creation, to take stock of yourself, your relationships with self and life and to get a sense of your place in and your effect upon, the Great Dream of Life. It is open to anyone who has done basic shamanic/self-awareness work and is familiar with being in nature. The week will include sweatlodge ceremony.

A Visionary Art workshop and Ayahuasca Retreat in the Amazon Rainforest

With Pablo Amaringo, Howard G. Charing, Peter Cloudsley and Local Shamans

Pablo Amaringo is one of the world's great visionary artists. He is renowned for his highly complex, colourful and intricate paintings inspired by his visions from when he was an Ayahuasca shaman. He trained as a curandero or healer in the Amazon, healing himself and others from the age of ten, but gave this up in 1977 to become a full-time painter and art teacher.
This workshop-retreat is a journey of self-exploration through the medium of Art and Ayahuasca, with guidance from Pablo Amaringo and our Maestro Shamans.
